Aggressive Housing Credit Assistance

Sedang Trending 1 jam yang lalu

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Upon arriving in Sorong, Southwest Papua, on Monday, April 27, 2026, Housing and Settlements Minister Maruarar Sirait announced an additional quota of 10,000 subsidized housing financing units through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme, specifically for Papuan residents. "This housing financing assistance is a pro-people policy implemented across all regions, including Papua," he said before local government officials, property developers, and residents of the Kadar Malibela Residence IV housing complex in Malawei, Sorong.

Maruarar, popularly known as Ara, called on regional governments to help ease licensing processes and provide land and basic infrastructure. He also urged the Public Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera) and banks to accelerate the disbursement of loans to people in need of housing.

The Housing Ministry has been aggressively rolling out FLPP assistance by accelerating the realization of mortgage agreements for subsidized homes. The policy is no longer focused on the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi areas, as well as Java in general, but is being massively expanded across various regions. The effort aims to accelerate the realization of the three million homes program, one of President Prabowo Subianto's campaign promises. This year, the ministry has allocated an FLPP quota for 350,000 subsidized homes.

In 2025, BP Tapera disbursed Rp34.6 trillion (about US$2 billion) in FLPP funds to finance 278,865 homes. Entering 2026, distribution has been intensified. As of Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Rp6.8 trillion (US$393 million) in FLPP funds had been distributed to finance 54,467 homes across 368 regencies and cities in 33 provinces. BP Tapera has partnered with 36 participating banks and involved 5,961 developers from 21 housing associations.
