Celtic Tempel Hearts di Puncak Klasemen Usai Tekuk Rangers 3&1

Persaingan gelar juara Liga Skotlandia musim 2025/2026 semakin memanas setelah Celtic berhasil menaklukkan Rangers dengan skor 3-1 pada laga Old Firm yang berlangsung akhir pekan kemarin. Kemenangan ini memangkas jarak poin Celtic menjadi hanya terpaut satu angka dari pemuncak klasemen, Hearts of Midlothian.

Dilansir dari goal.com, Celtic sempat tertinggal lebih dulu melalui gol Mikey Moore sebelum akhirnya bangkit lewat gol balasan Yang Hyun-jun serta dua gol tambahan dari Daizen Maeda. Hasil tersebut secara resmi mengakhiri peluang Rangers untuk memperebutkan trofi musim ini karena tertahan di posisi ketiga dengan selisih delapan poin dari puncak.

Data superkomputer Opta yang dikutip indosport.com menunjukkan Hearts masih menjadi favorit juara dengan peluang sebesar 59 persen, meski angka ini menurun dari sebelumnya 76,5 persen. Sementara itu, probabilitas Celtic untuk mempertahankan gelar meningkat drastis menjadi 41 persen menjelang dua laga sisa musim ini.

Penulis 67 Hail Hail, Amir, memberikan pandangannya mengenai mentalitas tim asuhan Martin O'Neill yang akan bertandang ke markas Motherwell pada Rabu, 13 Mei 2026.

"Celtic will still be buoyed after the Rangers win and will head to Fir Park with confidence. Although Motherwell will be a tough game, I just can't see Celtic dropping points knowing that Hearts are up next for a title decider. Analisis berbeda disampaikan oleh Martin Crawford yang menganggap jadwal padat dan ancaman dari tuan rumah menjadi rintangan terbesar bagi sang juara bertahan.

"For me, this will be our toughest game of the split given the quick turnaround and well-documented threat of Motherwell." ujar Martin Crawford, Penulis 67 Hail Hail.

Crawford menekankan bahwa kemenangan adalah harga mati karena pemuncak klasemen diprediksi akan menyapu bersih poin di kandang sendiri.

"Though a draw keeps us in the race to an extent determined by Hearts' result, I think we need to win at all costs as I expect them to beat Falkirk at Tynecastle. It's a huge task, but we've stepped up to the occasion so far in the run-in." lanjut Martin Crawford.

Di sisi lain, Amir Mir memprediksi laga di Fir Park akan berakhir imbang karena kekuatan lini serang Motherwell yang berbahaya.

"Out of all the post-split fixtures, this was my biggest worry. Even if Celtic get a win, I just can see Motherwell causing us a number of problems. I am trying to be as balanced as possible and say 2-2 draw. If I am wrong, then I will be delighted. I will go for Engels to score Iheanacho from the bench again." tutur Amir Mir, Penulis 67 Hail Hail.

Manajer Motherwell, Jens Berthel Askou, menegaskan kesiapan timnya untuk memberikan perlawanan sengit demi mengamankan tiket kompetisi Eropa.

"We’ve also been working hard to implement a new approach — something I believe many of you have already noticed. There’s still plenty of work to be done, but our recent performances have been promising. If we can reach our best level, we’re confident we can compete with anyone on the day." ungkap Jens Berthel Askou, Manajer Motherwell.

Askou berharap atmosfer stadion dapat membantu para pemainnya melewati momen sulit saat menghadapi tekanan tim tamu.

Di luar persaingan tim pria, Kapten tim wanita Motherwell, Gill Inglis, menyampaikan kabar mengejutkan mengenai masa depannya di dunia sepak bola.

"It’s probably a strange mix of emotions all hitting at once. On one hand, I’m looking forward finishing because I’ve always known this would be my final season, but at the same time, it’s quite surreal to think that something I’ve done every day for decades is suddenly about to end forever." kata Gill Inglis, Kapten Motherwell.

Meskipun mencintai olahraga ini, ia merasa keputusan untuk pensiun sudah melalui pertimbangan yang sangat matang.

"It definitely wasn’t an easy decision as my love for the game is as strong as ever." lanjut Gill Inglis.

Inglis merasa kondisi fisik dan mentalnya sudah memberikan sinyal bahwa musim ini adalah waktu yang tepat untuk mengakhiri kariernya.

"I think when you’ve been involved in the game as long as I have, there comes a point where you just know in yourself that the time is right. Football has given me so much and I’ve loved every minute, but physically and mentally, I feel this is the right moment to step away." ujar Gill Inglis.

Ia mengakhiri pernyataannya dengan memberikan penghormatan kepada seluruh pihak yang telah mendukung perjalanannya selama tujuh musim terakhir.

"I’d also like to thank every teammate, coach and member of staff that I’ve had the pleasure of working with throughout my career. They’ve had a huge impact on me and helped shape me as a player and a person. I’ve been so lucky to work with some incredible people." pungkas Gill Inglis.

Penentuan juara diprediksi akan terjadi hingga pekan terakhir ketika Celtic menjamu Hearts pada hari Minggu mendatang, dengan catatan Hearts gagal mengunci gelar pada pertandingan Rabu malam ini.
