TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Ministry of Defense is collaborating with Kuwait to build cooperation in the military sector, including strengthening strategic and defense communications.
As reported by ANTARA, Sjafrie's official Instagram account, @sjafrie.sjamsoeddin, stated on Thursday that the cooperation occurred when Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin met with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Khalid Jassim Alyassin, at the Ministry of Defense office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, May 6.
Apparently, Sjafrie met with Khalid Jassim and his staff. "I received the visit of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Khalid Jassim Alyassin, at the Ministry of Defense Office in Jakarta to strengthen strategic communication and explore ways to increase defense cooperation," said Sjafrie.
Sjafrie stated that Indonesia has had a long-standing relationship with Kuwait since 1968. This long, harmonious relationship can be a strong foundation for the two countries to establish military cooperation.
"This friendly relationship serves as an important foundation for expanding cooperation, including in education, military training, expertise exchange, and strengthening the defense capacity of both countries," Sjafrie said.
Sjafrie is optimistic that Indonesia and Kuwait can implement various types of military cooperation well. He hopes that this meeting will strengthen the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Kuwait.
