TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tempo has been awarded 'Best Reader Revenue Strategy' at the annual Digital Media Awards (Asia-Pacific), organized by the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA). Tempo clinched Gold in this category.
The award was received by Tempo's Corporate Secretary, Jajang Jamaludin, during the event held in Manila, the Philippines, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
"Independent editorial stance and impactful investigative reports have been proven to improve readers' confidence, which then converts into support through subscriptions," said Jajang in a brief message on Tuesday.
Tempo has leveraged the subscription strategy by introducing 'Tempo Plus.' In 2025, Tempo's reader revenue grew by 44.89 percent year-on-year.
Tempo records 11 million monthly access on its website, Tempo.co, with the majority of users coming from Indonesia, the United States, and Singapore.
Jajang expressed hopes that the award would boost the editorial team's motivation to produce investigative reports. "And encourage the growth marketing team to be more creative in garnering reader support," he added.
