TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - “Starboy” singer The Weeknd is coming to Singapore this October, set to bring electrifying performances across two night shows. Marking his first stop on the island after almost eight years, the Canadian singer includes Singapore as part of the final leg of his “After Hours Til Dawn” Stadium Tour.
The Canadian singer will perform on October 2 and 3, taking the stage at the Singapore National Stadium. According to The Strait Times, it will become his biggest Singapore show yet, surpassing his last 2018 concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium which drew over 7,000 fans.
For his Asian stops, Singapore isn’t on its own. Cities including Tokyo, Jakarta, Seoul, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur are also set to host performances, as noted by CNA Lifestyle. Joining him for the Singapore shows, the 36-year-old singer will also be joined by special guest Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts.
The Weeknd has consistently cemented his name among the most-listened-to artists of the 21st century, with more than 115 million monthly Spotify listeners. Originally, he launched the “After Hours Til Dawn” Stadium Tour in support of his fourth album, After Hours, in 2020. Due to the pandemic, the tour was postponed to 2022 before continuing through 2026, later becoming the highest-grossing tour by a male solo artist in history.
Tickets will be available for purchase through three presales starting May 18, followed by general sales on May 21.
