Why Is Duri-Tangerang Commuter Line Stalled? KAI Explains

Sedang Trending 41 menit yang lalu

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta KAI Commuter has reported a technical failure on Commuter Line No. 1978A along the Duri-Tangerang route, causing the train to stop at a level crossing in Rawa Buaya, Cengkareng, West Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon, May 26.

"The disruption affected the overhead power lines (LAA), which had to be turned off, making the Duri-Rawa Buaya upstream route temporarily impassable," KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday evening, as reported by Antara.

The rail operator apologized for the inconvenience, adding that emergency joint personnel were immediately dispatched to the site to resolve the issue and restore regular service along the line.

"Commuter Line No. 1978A will be coupled with Commuter Line No. 1980A and moved to track three at Rawa Buaya Station for further evaluation," she explained.

Due to the evacuation process and the overhead power outage, several scheduled Commuter Line trips on the Duri-Tangerang route faced operational adjustments and delays.

KAI Commuter urged all passengers to remain calm, follow the instructions of officers on the ground, and prioritize safety.

"For real-time operational updates, visit our official social media accounts @commuterline, check the C-Access app, or contact the 121 call center," Leza concluded.

Earlier in the day, terrified passengers aboard the Duri-Tangerang Commuter Line (KRL) reported hearing three explosions from inside the carriages right before the train lost power and stalled at the RT 01/RW 11 Rawa Buaya level crossing.
