TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Barcelona won the Spanish La Liga title this season after defeating arch-rivals Real Madrid 2-0 in their Matchday 35 match at the Camp Nou Stadium on Monday, May 11, 2026.

Goals from Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres secured the title early, securing an unbeaten run of points for Real Madrid.

Barcelona now has 91 points from 35 matches. With three matches remaining, Madrid will not be able to match Hansi Flick's team's points tally, according to the LaLiga website.

Madrid played aggressively from the start, until Vinicius Junior had a chance in the second minute, but Joan Garcia was quick to deny him.

Barcelona took the lead in the ninth minute through Marcus Rashford. The English striker scored with a curling free kick that flew into the top left corner of the net, beyond Thibaut Courtois' reach.

The hosts doubled their lead in the 18th minute. Ferran Torres latched onto a Dani Olmo pass before beating Courtois to give Barcelona a 2-0 lead.

Barcelona continued to dominate the match. Rashford threatened again in the 26th minute with a powerful shot to the right of the goal, but Courtois made a brilliant save.

Rashford had another golden opportunity just before halftime, but Courtois was once again solid in goal for Madrid.

In the second half, Barcelona didn't let up the pressure. Fermin Lopez tried his luck in the 48th minute, but Courtois easily beat him.

Ferran Torres nearly scored his second in the 56th minute, but Courtois again made a brilliant save.

Real Madrid reduced the deficit through Jude Bellingham in the 63rd minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside.

Robert Lewandowski had a good chance in the 84th minute, but again failed to beat Courtois.

Then in the 86th minute, Cesar Palacios created a chance, but his shot sailed well over the Barcelona crossbar.
