TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The FA Cup 2025–26 has reached the semifinal stage, with four teams battling for a place in the final.
Three clubs from England’s top flight—Chelsea FC, Leeds United, and Manchester City—have advanced to the last four. Southampton FC is the only team from the Championship to make it this far.
Following the draw held after the quarterfinals earlier this month, Chelsea will face Leeds United, while Manchester City take on Southampton in the other semifinal.
All semifinal matches will be played at Wembley Stadium on April 25–26, 2026, in a single-leg format, meaning there is no second leg for teams to recover from setbacks.
Chelsea and Manchester City are considered the favorites to reach the final. The Blues impressed in the quarterfinals with a dominant 7–0 win over Port Vale.
However, Chelsea head into the semifinals amid uncertainty after recently sacking head coach Liam Rosenior, who had been in charge for just over three months.
Meanwhile, Manchester City under Pep Guardiola showcased their strength with a convincing 4–0 victory against Liverpool FC. City are also in strong form domestically, having climbed to the top of the Premier League standings ahead of Arsenal FC.
Despite that, both Leeds United and Southampton have the potential to cause upsets. Leeds reached the semifinals after defeating West Ham United 4–2 on penalties following a 2–2 draw after extra time, marking their first FA Cup semifinal appearance since 1987.
Southampton, meanwhile, proved their credentials by beating Arsenal 2–1 in the quarterfinals, underlining their ability to compete with top-tier teams.
According to The Football Association, the semifinal schedule is as follows:
Saturday, April 25, 2026
• Manchester City vs Southampton (11:15 PM WIB)
Sunday, April 26, 2026
• Chelsea vs Leeds United (09:00 PM WIB)
