TEMPO.CO, Jakarta As anticipation builds for the opening ceremonies of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, FIFA officially unveiled a star-packed lineup of performers set to take the stage across the tournament’s host nations, the United States, Canada, and Mexico. 

Announcing the news on Instagram, FIFA revealed a dazzling roster that includes Katy Perry, Michael Bublé, and LISA of BLACKPINK. Set to become the biggest FIFA World Cup ever staged, the competition will kick off with three spectacular opening ceremonies, taking place before the first match in each host country.

2026 FIFA Performers in the United States 

In a teaser shared on Instagram, FIFA confirmed appearances from global music stars including Anitta, Katy Perry, LISA of BLACKPINK, Rema, and Tyla, while hinting that more performers will be announced soon. 

The post described the ceremony as a celebration where “football, music, and culture ignite” on the world’s biggest sporting stage.

According to reports from The Athletic, Perry is expected to headline the opening ceremony ahead of the United States men’s national team match against Paraguay. 

Shortly after the announcement, Perry confirmed the news on Instagram, telling fans, “Kicking my feet because I’m performing at the FIFA World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles on June 12th! Stay tuned for more info don’t let this be #TheOneThatGotAway ”

2026 FIFA Performers in Canada

FIFA has also disclosed the performer lineup for Canada’s opening ceremony at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place in Toronto on June 12. 

The ceremony will feature a diverse mix of international and Canadian stars, including Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi, William Prince, Elyanna, and Vegedream.

The expanded 48-team tournament will run from June 11 to July 19 across Canada, Mexico, and the United States, with opening ceremonies scheduled to begin 90 minutes before kickoff.

2026 FIFA Performers in Mexico

For the 2026 FIFA World Cup’s opening ceremony in Mexico, the organizers are teaming up with major music acts like Tyla, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, and Maná.  

The performances will spotlight music from the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album and form part of a larger creative production developed with Balich Wonder Studio.

Earlier this week, Shakira sparked excitement after teasing her FIFA World Cup anthem with Burna Boy.
