TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will use advanced technology to search for the hidden assets of corruptors in bunkers. Prabowo claims that current technology is very advanced and can track underground storage.
Prabowo made the claim during a speech at the plenary session of the House of Representatives (DPR) on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. He initially expressed sadness over the possibility of officials attempting to be corrupt.
However, the Gerindra Party chair said that corruption can now be uncovered more quickly because there is technology that can detect bunkers. "Now there is technology, there is radar that we can use, we can see underground, so those who hide bunkers, we will find your wealth as well," said Prabowo at the MPR/DPR/DPD Building, Jakarta.
He said that the technology is a defense innovation that can detect weapon warehouses and even landmines underground. Prabowo stated that he will prepare similar technology to track the bunkers of corrupt individuals.
"I will use the most advanced technology, defense technology can search for weapon warehouses underground, radar can now search for landmines, we will use it to search for bunkers around you (corruptors)," he said.
Prabowo also mentioned that current technology can already detect extensive land areas. "Those who have vast plantations, they may think that no one can check. Well, now there are satellites, we don't need physical checks, we can take photos, we can take a photo of every tree," said the former defense minister.
Prabowo is confident that this technology will help him find assets hidden by corrupt individuals. "So, no matter how you want to deceive, we will find your deception," he said.
Prabowo attended this DPR plenary session to present the macroeconomic framework and the main points of fiscal policy (KEM-PPKF). He is the first president to directly present the KEM-PPKF to the parliament.
