GoTo Responds to Danantara's Stake Acquisition

Sedang Trending 59 menit yang lalu

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta The management of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) has addressed recent reports regarding Danantara’s share ownership in the on-demand services giant. According to the company, Danantara has acquired a stake amounting to less than 1 percent of GoTo’s total shares.

"The company welcomes this investment, as it does with those from all other stakeholders, as a reflection of sustained confidence in our business fundamentals, performance, and long-term prospects," said GoTo Corporate Secretary R.A. Koesoemohadiani in an information disclosure released on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Koesoemohadiani emphasized that the company remains fully compliant with share ownership reporting obligations. She noted that since March 2026, the company has regularly submitted Share Ownership Reports to the Indonesia Stock Exchange, detailing shareholders with holdings ranging from 1 percent to 5 percent.

GoTo also weighed in on Presidential Regulation Number 27 of 2026 concerning the Protection of Online Transportation Workers. Koesoemohadiani stated that the company is currently awaiting a formal copy and further technical details of the regulation. "As an Indonesian entity, the company will always support efforts to provide continuous and sustainable benefits to all our driver partners," she added.

Meanwhile, Minister of Investment and Industrial Estates and CEO of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, noted that Danantara’s entry as an investor is a key component of the government’s strategy to bolster the welfare of online motorcycle taxi (online ojek) partners. He confirmed that the investment has been carried out gradually since the beginning of 2026.

"Danantara has entered the fray, and we have held discussions; for us, what is paramount is the welfare of ojol drivers, specifically how we can improve their quality of life through Health Insurance and Manpower Social Insurance (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan)," Rosan said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, as reported by Antara. He further noted that Danantara is advocating for increased Eid al-Fitr Bonuses (BHR) for ojol partners to ensure more substantial support.
