Indeks FTSE 100 Menguat Berkat Kenaikan Harga Tembaga

Indeks saham FTSE 100 di London ditutup menguat sebesar 60 poin ke level 10.325 pada hari Rabu (13/5/2026), didorong oleh lonjakan harga tembaga ke rekor tertinggi baru. Kenaikan ini terjadi di tengah gejolak politik Inggris dan pengumuman kebijakan energi baru dalam Pidato Raja.

Sektor pertambangan mendominasi daftar peraih keuntungan tertinggi dengan Antofagasta memimpin kenaikan sebesar 7,5 persen. Selain itu, indeks perusahaan bermodal menengah FTSE 250 juga tercatat naik 0,2 persen, sementara saham blue-chip secara keseluruhan meningkat 0,3 persen menurut laporan Yahoo Finance.

Chris Beauchamp, kepala analis pasar di IG, memberikan penjelasannya mengenai kondisi pasar saat ini yang sempat goyah akibat dinamika kepemimpinan politik di Inggris.

"The morning’s relief rally in UK assets has been tempered by Wes Streeting’s move against Keir Starmer, barely 24 hours after the leadership challenge appeared to have fizzled out," ujar Chris Beauchamp, Kepala Analis Pasar IG.

Beauchamp menambahkan bahwa ketidakpastian politik ini menambah beban pada prospek pasar yang sudah suram, meskipun pelemahan pound sterling terhadap dolar membantu menahan pembalikan keuntungan FTSE 100.

"UK investors now face the prospect of more political uncertainty that adds to the already clouded outlook. However we haven’t seen a full reversal of the gains in the FTSE 100, helped by weakness in the pound which has continued to lose ground against the dollar," kata Chris Beauchamp, Kepala Analis Pasar IG.

Di sisi lain, saham Intertek melonjak 6,5 persen setelah dewan direksi menyatakan kesediaan untuk menerima tawaran akuisisi menjadi perusahaan privat. Namun, saham Vistry justru merosot 12,3 persen menyusul peringatan penurunan laba, dan Airtel Africa jatuh 12,4 persen setelah pemegang saham mayoritas mengumumkan rencana peningkatan kepemilikan melalui pembelian saham dengan harga diskon.

Terkait reformasi regulasi dalam Pidato Raja, Karen Northey dari Investment Association menyoroti langkah modernisasi kerangka kerja untuk mendukung inovasi keuangan.

"Measures were confirmed to deliver the Chancellor's Leeds Reforms and modernise the regulatory framework to support innovation and competitiveness, including proposed reforms to the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Senior Managers and Certification regime, these "will improve regulatory certainty and reduce burden"," tutur Karen Northey, Direktur Investment Association.

Northey juga menekankan pentingnya kemitraan yang lebih erat dengan Uni Eropa untuk membuka peluang investasi yang lebih luas di sektor jasa keuangan.

"With £3 trillion managed by our industry on behalf of European clients, a closer partnership with the EU on financial services, in addition to those industries referenced in the King’s Speech, can also help unlock investment opportunities," ucap Karen Northey, Direktur Investment Association.

Selain regulasi keuangan, pemerintah Inggris juga mengumumkan undang-undang untuk melarang semua lisensi eksplorasi minyak dan gas baru di Laut Utara. Areeba Hamid dari Greenpeace UK menyambut baik keputusan tersebut sebagai langkah menuju energi terbarukan.

"By calling time on North Sea oil and gas, the government is opening a bright future for cheap and homegrown sources of renewable energy. If the recent turmoil has taught us anything it's that relying on fossil fuels - whether from the North Sea or Gulf states - will only leave us at the mercy of foreign wars and dictators," kata Areeba Hamid, Co-executive Director Greenpeace UK.
