TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's state-owned oil company PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is preparing 80,000 kilo liters of avtur (jet fuel) for hajj flights from April 22 to June 30, 2026. Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth M. V. Dumatubun, stated that the avtur supply is provided through an integrated supply chain from the refinery, fuel terminal, to aircraft refueling.
"We are doing this to ensure the smooth operation of hajj flights in a safe, timely, and in accordance with service standards," said Roberth in a written statement on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
This year's hajj flights consist of two phases, namely phase I from April 22 to May 21, 2026, and phase II from June 1 to 30, 2026. There are 14 hajj departure locations prepared, from Sultan Iskandar Muda, Minangkabau, Hang Nadim, Kualanamu, Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II, Soekarno-Hatta, Kertajati, Adi Soemarmo, Juanda, Lombok International Airport, Sepinggan, Syamsudin Noor, Hasanuddin, to Yogyakarta International Airport.
Roberth stated that the avtur requirement for this year's hajj flights has increased by 1.2 percent compared to last year. The fuel distribution is 5.6 percent above the average daily distribution during normal times.
Pertamina Patra Niaga also provides a Digital Ground Operation (DGO) system for real-time monitoring of refueling and transaction validation. This approach enhances transparency, efficiency, and traceability in avtur distribution to hajj organizing airlines such as Garuda Indonesia and Saudia.
"This implementation also strengthens the application of Good Corporate Governance principles and service accountability," said Roberth.
